BAD NEWS for TRI-COLORED FLUFFY CARDI/MIX IN KILL SHELTER
I cannot go pick up the Fluffy as I was led to believe due to interstate regulations with HSUS -- I am only a foster home for the Fluffy Cardi. To take the dog home and then adopt out to someone else would be "selling" the dog, according to Kansas -- and possibly all other states as well. All the Corgi rescues I work with are full and have no place for him, so I can't even go pick him up on their behalf right now!
The Fluffy Cardi is still safe for the next couple of days -- please feel free to contact the HSUS in Dodge City directly.

Sam, thanks for the advice, I've already been that route and have established relationships with this shelter and Colonel Potter Cairn Terrier, RedDirtBoxerRescue, Corgis-n-Critters, and FaeryDogs. This gal called me to pick the guy up, but got information mixed up last week when I completed a Boxer rescue for her, got excited when she found out I do Corgis as well, but didn't think about ramifications when I told her the Corgi Rescues are full -- so now we're at a stalemate.

What a sweet little face! I wish he was closer to me - I'd go over and get him today! Ugh - I really hope someone comes to his rescue.

Most shelter requires an already established relationship with a rescue. Next time introduce yourself and bring along a 501c3 document from the rescue. For now, it seems like your only option is to have someone else "adopt" the dog and bust him out first, locate a member who is willing to foster for the time being until the next move.

Are you asking someone to adopt him for you. I do not understand what you are asking for? Donations? I thought the CWCCA is able to take in dogs. I would try them if you have not already. I wish I could help but I live is MA

Is there a corgi group in Kanses that you could email them all??? Could you foster a corgi from th rescues so they could go get him??? I'm sure you've thought of this....I wish I wasn't so far away! Actually I have have a thought I will email you!
