Has anyone had an experience that this Pet spot bot carpet cleaner discolors the carpet?  It is not an old carpet at all just a circle where the machine was. What a $139.00 mistake.  I have my carpts professionally cleaned and they do not turn out like that.  I bought the device because I caught Chloe doing her business in the living room.

Update, I called Bissell who suggested that I use only water, no solution , keep doing the process over and over, let the carpeting dry, then repeat, and if that does not work call them back.  I used the machine in other areas, and it did not discolor, this is just strange.

I have one, and love it!  I usually use Natures' Miracle in mine....

I've never had the spot bot discolor the carpet but I also don't use as much cleaning solution as it tells me. If I'm cleaning up an "accident" I'll replace the cleaner with vinegar.

The company that I had clean my carpet suggested that I use only water with the Spot Bot. It is less likely to "overclean" the spot. Also, if the mess is too liquid, it is possible it will spread it around. In spite of the difficulties I love my Spot Bot!

I have the Spot Bot, the only issue I've had is where it gets the carpet too clean and leaves a lighter circle.

Did you test the solution on the carpet before you use the machine?
