Chloe went to Rainbow Bridge on February 17, 2011.  I miss her more than words can say.  She was a worry Corgi so I miss the "checking" on me several times before I leave for work in the morning.  I miss the waiting at the door knowing that I'm about to come in.  I miss the Bunny Butt wiggling like crazy cause she is happy to see me.  I miss those big beautiful, expressive eyes looking at me with such love and trust.  I am learning to accept that I will not see her here on this earth but I will meet her at Rainbow Bridge.  I believe that Soloman was sent to me by Chloe.  I was looking around on the internet for Corgi Puppies and spotted a breeder 13 miles from my house!!!  All these years and I never knew that.  I went on Faire Folk Corgi web site and they have an adult boy that needs a forever home.  Soloman is 4 and he is a wonderful and comical corgi.  He smacks when he eats, his tongue hangs out the side of his mouth and he belches good and loud!  But that, after 2 meetings, endeared Soloman to me.  He is as far left as Chloe was right.  Chloe was a worry corgi and Soloman is ready for action.  He is all boy, whereas Chloe was dainty.  My husband and I need Soloman and I think that he needs us too.  I get to pick up Soloman on Friday 2/25 when I get off work and I am so excited.  Its gonna be a change and alot of adjustments for him.  I hope the adjustments are easy but I am sure there are gonna be some boo-boos made along the way.  Pray for us as we get use to each other and learn to love each other.  Below is a BIG picture of Soloman, and he is as large as life!!!

So sorry to hear about Chloe. You gave her love, and were happy together, and that what counts. We are glad you found Soloman, and can give him the love he needs in turn. Our thoughts are with you, and we await to hear more about your new life with Soloman.

A sad but touching story with a happy ending.

Aww, he looks so much like my Bruce, who is a big funny goof of a corgi (mix, but he looks like a big sable corgi with a poufy tail). He has such a happy smiley face - he's beautiful! I look forward to hearing about your lives together :)

I'm so sorry about Chloe. My cat Hamilton passed away last night. He was 17 and we had him for 15 years. My son was just a baby when Hamilton came to us, and that boy is a junior in high school now. It's painful, and I can't imagine how bad it'll be for me when the time comes for one of the dogs. But the joy they bring makes the pain of their passing bearable. Hugs to you and to Solomon too!

Solomon is *SO* handsome!  What a looker!  Oh, how exciting for both of you.

I am so sorry for the loss of Chloe, but I, too, believe that filling the "hole" is the best way to ease the sorrow.  We lost a beautiful rescue girl last April (three weeks after getting a new puppy).  We miss Molly dearly, but the new "love" has prevented us from "dwelling" and instead, we are free to focus on the happy memories.

I will, thanks so much, I cried myself to sleep the first and second night, especially when I would get up in the am and the first thing I did want greet her and take her for her morning ritual and she wasn't there to do that, it broke my heart.  Soloman is extremely active and I think that will be good for me and my husband health wise.  He is probably gonna get sick of the camera being in his face, but I gotta do it!  I sorta felt guilty, but I can't be without an animal and it has to be a corgi...so Soloman and I had a talk and he understands!  I think Chloe would approve.

I am so sorry for your loss of Chloe...it is so hard to get through the day after you lose one of your best friends.  But, am so excited that you have the opportunity of a new life with Soloman!  I am a firm believer in needing to fill the hole that the loved one has left.  He will provide you with much comfort in the days ahead!  Saying lots of prayers for you...and be sure to share pictures when you get some!!
