I could not let the night go by without telling everyone about my new 1/2 night with Solomon. He has been funny from the get go. When I picked him up he was nervous and let us know it by demanding that we put him in the front seat. My husband rode in the back after the stop at the local store for something to drink! I talked my sweet husband into taking Solomon to Petsmart. I never thought it would be that busy, Solomon was overwhelmed. I felt guilty so we picked up his new collar and lead. I figured it would not hurt to get him a few treats and a toy or two or three! Now Solomon had greated all the kids there and even made a baby laugh. A church group of girls wanted to take their picture with him so he was a pretty popular boy, however we turned the corner to get to the treats and lo and behold there was a Pit Bull standing there. Solomon raised up on hind legs and let out a roar like nothing I had never heard before. I immediately redirected that energy decided to go the other way....smart move with a pit bull dontcha think! I do not condone nor will I ever allow Solomon to fight but I had to giggle a little bit, my husband said "he put that pit bull on notice". When we finally made it home, he followed me everywhere and when we ate dinner he sat there staring, probably hoping that something would fall! When I took him out to do his business before bed time we had an episode on the front porch that had me in stitches. There has been a cat coming around for the past 3 or 4 days and I am not wanting another cat but I love animals so I have been kind and feeding her. When Solomon went out, on lead, he saw the cat and I know it had to look like a cartoon, he bolted and jerked me so fast, I thought my arm would fall off! I am telling Solomon, no leave kitty alone, leave kitty alone. Well kitty went up the tree, Solomon is scratching off under the tree giving his best impression of a hunting dog. If I could have taken a picture in the dark I would have. Now we believe that the cat has another home cause she is nice and fat, so she has just been getting fed twice! Animals know that I will feed them and love on them so they follow me home :) Solomons first night has been one of adventure and now he is tuckered out by the front door. I am looking forward to many more adventures with him. I am already in love! There are pictures coming tomorrow, by the truck load, so hold on for the Solomon ride!!!!
