Cowboy Bebop LIVE action movie is a GO!

Yup, Keanu Reeves will be playing the role of Spile Spiegel in the live-action “Cowboy Bebop.” Peter Craig is writing the script. Are you ready to audition for the role of "Ein"?

I hope this doesn't mean more business for those horrible puppy mills, and backyard breeders.

Ah, I love Cowboy Bebop. It introduced me to Welsh Corgis, but it's not why I love them. But anyway, I really doubt they could make a live action movie that's as good as the show. They'll have to give some major acting lessons to Keanu.. I think they should make everyone working on the movie watch the entire series--twice--and the movie before they do anything.

The show itself isn't popular enough. Movies tend to make a bigger impact when it comes to purchasing dogs.

Oh man, I am excited about this! I really didnt think about it making people go out and buy corgis...but didn't the show already do that??

I'm excited and worried at the same time. I LOVE Cowboy Bebop. It's one of the main things that made me fall in love with corgis, and I'm an anime FREAK.

But I also love Spike and his attitude, and if Keanu ruins that I'll be very disappointed.

Oh well... at least if they portray Faye as a scantily-clad big-boobed chick (which they usually do in movies) it's really not far from the truth, unlike some other movies made from books etc. featuring characters who would NEVER dress like that lmao.

And hey, maybe I won't have to answer so many "What kind of dog is that" questions after they release the movie ahahaha... (even though I do realize corgis will become WAY too popular).

The problem with movies like this is when people see the dog everyone starts wanting one, therefore irresponsible breeding comes about. It's sad. I am however excited to see a movie starring a corgi in an important role. Hahaha. I think Winston should audition!! GAHHH

I agree with Aj too. I don't want them to make this movie. The anime is such a classic. They are probably going to ruin it like they have several others.

Oh well, I still see it and maybe I'll like it. I just really DO NOT want a corgi craze to start from this.

I agree with Aj, but I think it will be cool if it is a real corgi and not CG.

YESSSSS! I am so excited about them making a Cowboy Bebop movie. In agreement with the comment above on number 2, but it wont really do much good trying to stop hollywood. If they screw it up, it will just make the anime look so much better to the people that really know the anime. If they do a good job it will turn people on to the anime that some of us already know and love. Keanu is not in my opinion the best choice but maybe he's trying to show he can really act with this movie. I am interested to see how he will play spike actually and maybe he'll do good? If not then he will just act like he always does (which is not bad, just the same in every movie). If he does good it will show he actually has diversity and he will gain a lot of respect. Also, they better pick a real corgi and not animate one, cause if they do the movie will definitely be ruined. REAL CORGIBUTTS FTW!!
