Dear Reader
As I is writing this on Momma's typer thingie, Momma an' Miss Dasie iz wif me on da sofa telling me whats I shoulds say. Miss Daisy hads never hads a typer thingie to sniff before, so she iz much amazed dats I cans puts my pawz on da liddle thingies dat Momma callz keeez. An' whens I does dat, Momma sez dat peoples and their corgeezzz cans sees what I haves to say. I hopes dat she iz right.
Daisy asked me to tell all of my readerz dat she iz westing from her dwive home to our place. She saids dat it rained all da way an' she felled asleep in da kennel on all da blankets I helped Momma put in der so she coulds feel warm an' safe. She also said dat she likes da new nest dat Momma boughted her at dat pet pwace. It iz blue an' looks like a soft easy chair . . . Momma wouldn't let me tries it out though. Daisy sez it's real comfortable to snooze on.
Momma brought me some tweats an' a nice big bone from da pet pwace. I am sleepy cuz we haz been out showing Miss Daisy all of the grassy places and I showed her where some of my favorite smells are. She liked dat. She is so small dat her little leggies hardly keeps her tummy fwom gettin' tickeled by da gwass.
Momma gave us bofe a nice dinner. I hads kibble, chicken, yogurt and beans. Daisy had kibble and chicken. She ates it all right up, an' she is usually scared to eats in front of others. Maybe she likes it here? Do you think so? I hopes so.
Momma cried on da way down to fetch Daisy, she told me, because she was remembering our sweet Miss Emily and how much we love her and miss her. An' da hardest part waz to dwive right by da hospital where our Emmie died, it was too fulls of memories not to cry. An' she said she told Daisy about Miss Emily when dey dwove past the hospital on da way home. Daisy tol' me she understands and knows dat we all here have our own broken heart places inside and dat it's good to be a fambly wif hearts dat can takes care of each other when we hurts. An' dat iz how I feels az well: when Momma cries I tries to help her feel better. An' I thinks dat I do do dat.
Well, dear Reader, I must put my Momma an' my new sissy, Daisy, to beds so we cans gets up in the morning an' greets a new day, our first whole day as a fambly. Iz glad Daisy is here. Thank you God for giving her to us. Amen.
