our vet showed us to squirt the ear cleaner on a gauze and the roll the guaze so its like a strip kinda and then put that into the ear holding the other end and then pull it out.  I think that works pretty well.  When you fold up the guaze it ends up being pretty long.

Yes corgis like to clean each other ears, lol.  :)

Get a second corgi - they keep each other's ears clean. ;)

I learned the hard way, put the ear cleaner (I use an over the counter one available at pet stores) on a cotton ball then wipe out the ear and drip the fluid in his ear.. Sparky FREAKED when I tried to just squirt the cleaner in his ears. Actually, a dogs ear canal turns 90* before entering the ear drum. It would be difficult to damage it with a cotton swab. This is from my vet. I then use a clean, dry cotton ball to wipe them clean. I do it every week. He tolerates it, doesn't like it, just tolerates it.

The best is to get the ear cleaner from the vet  you put it in and let them shake it out. Qtips aren't good as you canstick them in too far.
