out of the 13 breeders (maybe 12..i've lost count!) i've emailed, i finally got a response! ironically, i emailed her yesterday and she emailed me back same day! i was quite shocked since it's been 3 weeks since i sent all of the others and haven't heard a thing. has anyone ever had any experience with Canuck Corgis?
the breeder's name is Debbie Cox (from Mississippi) and she breeds pems, cardis, and nova scotia duck tolling retrievers (that's a mouthful)
i was surprised she had time to email me back right away when the others didn't, especially when she breeds 3 different kinds of dogs! her site requested that i emailed her filling out a questionnaire (how many people are in your family? how many children? etc.) so i did and added at the end of the email that i also had lots of questions for her. she emailed me back saying she was ready for my questions!
my only concern is that she emailed back so fast! maybe i'm just used to everyones stories and my own past experience of breeders taking forever to respond. does anyone else find this strange? or am i just being over cautious?

As Jane mentioned, get more information about the dam. I, too, like the fact that she only breeds once a year or less. I would be concerned if she was breeding her dam more than once a year.
Wow, what breeders are you contacting? I, too, emailed/called numerous breeders when I was looking and most of them got back to me in a day or so.
By the way, if you haven't done so already, get in touch with your area's corgi organization and ask them for breeder references. Most of these groups will know who's a responsible breed and who you should stay away from.
"Duck dogs", this made me lol. :D I agree that their name is quite a mouthful, though!
Best of luck and I hope she's right for you. :)
She looks pretty good to me. My only concern would be that her litter announcement for 2011 was for a stud that is at risk for DM, and she doesn't have any info for the dam listed. This is really your personal preference as to how much you care about DM results...something like 60% of pems are at risk and only a small fraction of that actually get the disease. But if she is breeding anything but a DM clear bitch to that stud you are going to risk getting a puppy that will be at risk for DM.
She's a member of the Mississippi State Kennel Club, so that's a good sign. She could have just been on the computer at that time also...it's not always a bad sign. I like the fact that she only breeds once a year or less...
I would be concerned with the fact that she is breeding three types of dogs!!!
