Today was the day I took Gromit to the vet. The contract hit on his boy parts had come up due. He came through the surgery just fine but as you can tell from the photo above, he wasn't quite tuned into the world yet when we got him home. In due course he got to feeling a bit better as the meds wore off. The only thing that seems to have really bothered him was finding next to nothing in his food dish at dinner time tonight. Truly a Corgi's worst nightmare! Limited food and water until tomorrow, pal. Sorry!

Missing dinner is a nightmare for a corgi! His face is so expressive. Sparty sends corgi sympathy to him.

Seriously Gromit, in my next life when I come back a dog, I'd really like to marry you - even without all your man parts! Hehe! I do have to agree with John Wolff, we forget how smart they are. Fergie has been wearing her lamp shade since Tues and realized quickly how many more "Awwwwsss" she gets.

Recover soon Gromit, so we can see your big hairy self at Gromitland again!

FABULOUS photo. Only a Corgi could express so much emotion in one photo, & esp Gromit .
He could front so many Hallmark cards, ie. I'm sorry...I didn't mean it...
Promise i'll be better tomorrow...Why did i have that last beer? Get me some Alka Seltzer. et. al.
OMG. What a fabulous face! Who could ever be anything but in love with Gromit?
PS And for religious types, "Dear God, I promise never to..."

Oh Doug, don't be such a pushover. He's probably been practicing that look in front of a mirror for weeks.

Glad to hear the surgery went well but how devastating for him to not have food. (haha) It is a terrible thing to have a starving corgi in the house. ;0) Great picture!
