Chloe chases the cat Kudos. I am so tired of it. She mounts the cat. Kudos the cat does not have front claws. The "leave it" command is sometimes helpful, but at times not. Does anyone have recommendations on how to deal with this?

If the cat doesn't run the corgi can't chase, so teach the cat not to run. It might be easier. Then it is fun to watch the corgi figure out how to get the cat to move. That's how it is in our house, usually a stand off.
I have high points in each room, so the cat can get away from the dog. Most of the chase games in our house are started by the cat, but just in case. I also have gates across two rooms making them cat only. I agree with keeping a leash on the dog. I wouldn't let them both loose in the house while you are gone. One of them should be shut in a room or crated.
I bought my cats a 6 foot tall cat tower. so when she chases they have a spot out of her reach where they feel comfortable.
I'd keep a leash on her in the house so you can grab her quick. Letting her catch the cat is basically a self-rewarding behavior.
Put a leash on the dog (or a bit of rope) so you can easily grab her when you tell her no. Try to distract her when you see her staring at the cat. It will stop if you can catch her before it becomes a fun chase. Once she realizes that she can not get away with it she will stop but each time she is successful it reinforces the behavior.
