Since it has been a while since I have been on the site I thought I should update everyone on our move.
Our move from PA to FL was very unsuccessful. :( While going through VA our car broke down at 2 AM on the side of the interstate. We were stuck on the side of the road for 3 hours with two Yorkies, a Corgi, two cats, a fish and five people (including my 7 year old sister) until a cop and a tow truck came to our rescue. We made it into a hotel a few miles up the road and finally passed out around 5:30 AM.
The next day we waited on the status of the car, and we were told that the problem was the water pump. Only to find out the NEXT day that it was the oil pump or something? (I know nothing about cars)
This is apparently a very difficult and thus, expensive repair. My father decided it wasn't worth it. So we abandoned the car in VA and were rescued by my grandfather who came from SC.
SO after buying another vehicle, we continued our journey to FL. Only to get there much less financially prepared than planned. (In other words, broke.) We stayed in a hotel for a few nights, then decided to camp. It's fun and cheap.
We camped, beached, and went to interviews later to decide to abondon ship again. We came back to SC to stay with my grandfather temporarily until we go back to our original home of GEORGIA, where we have lots of family and friends to welcome us!
I'm rather excited to move back home to GA. Though, this was not the best way to do it. lol
My father already has a job offer and my fiance and I have been filling out applications all day.
I did not expect or plan any of this madness to happen. But Chase has been having a blast!
While in FL he had his first and second trips to the beach. He played in the water and even got to swim, with from assistance from mom (me)
He also got to go camping for the first time and learned to dig!! lol He now loves to dig!
Pictures to come!!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I have been applying like crazy! I am hoping I can work soon! Can't wait until things start to look up again!
Well, that will be a story to tell your grandkids! Glad you had Chase along to make you smile. They have a way of smiling no matter what is going on!
Chase really has just been having a good time with all of these new experiences. He and my mom's two Yorkies have made the experience more tolerable and even fun. I have felt like a proud mom watching him experience new things. He has had so much fun. Watching him do new things like swim, dig and chase rabbits on my grandfather's farm, it's like taking my child to the beach and camping for the first time.
Wow, that was quite an adventure! :o It's good to hear that things are working out in the end, it's just a shame you had to go through all of that stuff on the way. Good luck on your job hunt and I hope you can make it home soon!
I guess "All's well that ends well" corgis usually can find the fun in most situations and help us do the same. Hope things are looking up for you and your family now!
Wow, you have had quite the journey!!! That is one full car!! Good luck on your job searches, hopefully it won't be long before you are able to find jobs.
