I tend to lean toward Welsh names, hence Aber. We're considering Llywellyn and Dylan for the new puppy. Colwyn means puppy in Welsh. I'm also fond of Brodie, but that's Scottish. Or as someone else mentioned, hobbit names. He could be a Merry (Meriadoc) or a Frodo, definitely.

I get a lot of positive comments when I tell people Murray's name. I believe it's Scottish, not Welsh. I long ago had a Border Collie that I named "Geordie" which is a form of George which means farmer if I remember right. Our first Corgi was "Ringer" which is an Australian cowboy. I hate naming dogs, it is so hard, but I think all these names are winners and not very common.

Go the Disney character route! Baloo would be a fun one :-D you could sing Bear Necessities to your little bear, lol. Although he looks like he could be a Simba too, especially with that color!
