We have had our puppy for 4 days now, and he still doesn't have a name! We have gone over tons of names and nothing seems to fit, and it is becoming very frustrating to address bad behavior, or even good behavior when he does not have a name. Not to mention I am trying to fill out some paperwork for the vet and our country dog license, but we can't complete anything without a name. Anyone else had this issue before? I have never had a hard time naming a dog before, and its not that we don't completely love this puppy, we are just stumped!

I think he looks like a Cole, Dillyn, Wesley, Oscar or Ronan.

How about Booker T.. You can choose either after the Booker T of the MGs or the Booker T Washington who was from your state (I think). Anyway, he looks like a Booker and when your mad at himyelling out Booker T has a nice ring to it.

Hobbit names always come to mind for me too, and Irish names (hence Finnigan). I already have a male and a female name lined up for our next Corgis. :)

Because he is a dwarf dog I would consider one of the Hobbit names. If I ever were to have another corgi, I have my names chosen already. Also, Welsh names seem to be a good choice, if that is something you'd be interested in. My dog was named after a famous cartoonist in Canada by the name of John Yardley-Jones. However, we later thought a more apropos name would have been Barkley.

He looks like a Tyler or a Skyler. Are you looking at anything for a name... as in Welsh or Meanings or anything like that? It might help in a direction and help for suggestions from other MyCorgi Members... :D

For your paperwork you can give the name Mr...............whatever your last name is.

I like human first names. They reinforce the notion that this is a person; not a human-person, but an animal-person.

Yes, baby name web sites are great and if you want welsh and their meaning( not that you do) but they are easy to find too. I think that's one of the reasons it takes me awhile as I have to like the "meaning" of the name also!

It took us 2 weeks to name Cragar. We just called him Puppy-wuppy for 2 weeks!!. LOL!! He's fine now and the name is perfect for him. It only took a couple of days to name Brody. Baby name web sites are helpful. They even separate names into country of origin so I looked at welsh and irish names. Might get some good ideas that way. Good Luck!!
