I spent 3 hours yesterday looking for Livvy. Now, she never leaves the yard and can be trusted to stay home! Well, I couldn't find her and thought the worst so I walked in the fields, drove all over and squeaked her favorite toys plus played ball with the others to get her to "come". Right before I left again I laid her 2 balls on the deck after playing catch with Armani....when I came back her small favorite ball was gone...hmmmmm...I then knew Livvy was here:) Turns out after coaxing with balls and cheese for the other dogs she couldn't resist  anymore and hobbled out from under the side steps...she had a sore paw...guess this is why but it still is frustrating. The paw is still sore and I'm watching it:( Oh Livvy...you are my most challenging Corgi...and the most loving!

A similar thing happened when Potus was young. We'd let him out into the yard, I went out to check on him and he wasn't anywhere to be seen. I had a panic attack-  I'm absolutely petrified of him getting out  or being taken. After a few desperate calls for him we heard him under the deck, and he wiggled out from underneath, squeezing under the stair to freedom. Needless to say- I barricaded that gap. What a fright our dogs give us!

Silly Livvy!  Hope her paw is ok.   Our scare came when we lost Jack out on a trail in the park.  Turns out we went down a fork and he was lagging. Not being sure which fork we went down, I suppose he went back up top to look for us.  I used my emergency recall word which ALWAYS brings him running, and no Jack.   Turns out some Good Samaritan at the top of the path thought he was lost and was holding his collar.  When I got back up top, he had this horrified look on his face like 'I heard you call.  I TRIED to come.  Really I did.  But these people kidnapped me...."

LOL the same thing happened to me yesterday! I was at my brother's and he has 1 acre of not very well fenced property that backs up to wilderness. Franklin disappeared and I called him and usually he comes RIGHT away when called. He didn't show, I called and called and called. Then I heard his tag jingling but couldn't see him anywhere.....then some scraping......then I looked down and saw some white hair under the deck I was standing on! He got himself wedged under the deck and was trying to come but couldn't get out!!! I had to coax him back in a different direction and out a slightly bigger hole! Silly dogs!

Poor Livvy, she must've really been hurting! We're glad to hear she's okay. She's a sweet and sassy little girl!
