Its’ very difficult to say
What all you’ve done for me,
All the places we would go
The things that we did see.
The joys we shared,
The tears we shed,
The lives we touched,
The lives we led.
Though others try to fill the space
Your leaving me has made,
There’s none can ever take your place
The way you walked, you played.

Today we had to part with a very dear one to our hearts, a kind of Grandma figure to Ace and my loving sister.
When i had no friends to call my own there was the sweetest Golden Retriever Mix that belonged to a client of my mothers.. the lady ended up going into a nursing home and wanted this dear sweet thing to go to someone who could love her and care for her... that was our Family.. her name.. Buffy

she has been my sister since before i was in 8th grade.. I am now 26 years old.. i have spent the last 13-14 years with her.. she was let go today at the ripe age of 15 1/2 years old. there seems to be a large empty place now in the house.

Ace has become more clingy then he normally is .. i think he knows.. this weekend i think we are gonna make her a memory shadow box :) something to put her urn in, her collar pictures and the like.. imma miss my sister.. i cant call her a dog.. because.. she was way more then that.. she was there for me when no one else would be..

We will miss you dearly my sister
Rest in Peace Buffy~

Dear Lord I pray your soul to keep
To guard you evermore,
To keep you safe in loving arms
And watch you at the door
Of heaven’s gate and fields of gold
Where pets of everyone
Will go to be when they grow old
And walk in warm bright sun.
To chase the ball or bat the string
In endless days of free
And share the joy that you did bring,
Dear Lord I pray to thee.

Remember, that Buffy will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.  She will be able to run to you as she did in her younger days.

So sorry for your loss.

Awww I have a soft spot for Buffy's since that was the name of one of my corgis. Your tribute is so sweet and I am sure she enjoyed her years with your family as much as you did. Over the Rainbow Bridge she is being greeted with love.

Jen, I'm sorry you've lost your old friend Buffy but what good long and wonderful life she had!  I'm sure Ace knows something is wrong, somehow they seem to understand.  Hugs and sad arrooos from down here in Arizona from Gromit and me.
