After 10 1/2 years of pure pleasure, companionship, love, loyalty, careing, fun, and intelligence, my devoted Corgi past away on July 7, 2017; he was diagnosed with pancreatitis with possible pancreatic cancer and after a week long effort by my wonderful and caring vet, he did not respond to treatment; I had to make the decision to end his suffering. Darby, you are now in a place where there is no more pain and all your desires will come true; you will always be the most handsome, the most beautiful, the most loyal pet I have ever had; Rest In Peace, Darby.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and sympathy; it's good to know so many people care about others pets and how the relationship is so close with them; it's like losing a family member or a child you've cared for; I have created a YouTube video as a memorial to my Darby, it is on my page but you can also find it on YouTube; thanks again for all your thoughtfulness.

Sorry for the late response, but I have had a spell of houseguests and am just now getting back tot he computer. I  am sorry to read of Darby's passing. Pancreatitis is a nasty business. It's a horrid decision to have to make (I have had to do so twice with my corgis both due to cancer), but we do it because we love them so and know that they shouldn't have to suffer. Hoping you find peace.

Oh, I'm so very sorry.   No matter how long we have with them, it's never long enough.   Run free, sweet boy.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how heartbreaking it is as we lost our Tucker to bone cancer this past February. :(

You did the right thing even though it was so very hard, he is no longer suffering.   It seems I read about more and more corgis being diagnosed with cancer of some sort. :( :(  I hate cancer, too many canine and humans having to deal with it.  Thinking of you in this difficult time.
