We took some time away from MyCorgi.com, not for lack of interest or anything really other than some struggle with the loss of our Chloe and Lola. and while time doesnt completely plug the holes in your heart, I guess time plus more corgis can at least distract you.

Since the last posting we had a very rapid downhill battle with our Lola and I feel horrible about how it ended as I couldnt get her through the last night and to the vet to at least help with the pain. Since then I have read so many stories of Corgis and their journeys only to recently find the story of a little guy named Spike. A little rescue pup with CHF... his story is inspiring and his 'mum' writes his blog from his perspective. Anyone who wants a heart wrenching and heart warming story from the heart of a little guys whose heart is WAY bigger than his stature... find Spike Taylor on facepants @ https://www.facebook.com/SpikeStripTaylor?ref=stream&hc_locatio...

Of course this site full of Corgi Folk are probably all fans of Franklin Looney and the Wheres Franklin page

So between Franklin, Spike , the daily Corgi and CorgiPals I have come to grips with our losses and need to appreciate our pack.

So from our beginning with Chloe' who will always be in out hearts, we still have the Patriarch of the family in Koda the Lumpy eared pretty boy, Abbi the loudest corgi EVER and Zooey who just turned 1 and is by far the fastest and the naughtiest Corgi we have had. I suppose like our human kids, we have allowed her to be the baby too long and even in puppy class when the instructor picked up on her extreme Corgi-ness, warned us she would be a handful... we figured she would just calm down and be good in due time. Time to continue to share thier pictures and their exploits , naughty and nice... and their general corginess.

AND since I have FB friends who have become irritated by my NBC posts (Nuthin Butt Corgi) , maybe better to get back to the MyCorgi roots and share with those who "get it"  , glad to be back.

I had to giggle when I read your last sentence about your facebook friends... LOL. I am sooooo guilty of posting non-stop pictures and stories about my stooges. Welcome back!

Glad you are back! My husband and I still miss our "Comet" we have kept his favorite toys to remember him.  We are enjoying our new puppy "Bentley". After we got the pup, our older dog, "Chloe" seemed to have perked up and has more energy.

Do what I did!  Create a page for the corgis and join Corgi Nation on facebook!  I will suggest you as a friend and you can share stories there.

Sorry for the loss of your babies.  They will still live in your heart.

(I am on as Scout Corgi )

So hard when we lose our furkids and it takes time to let the pain heal some.  We haven't met before but I am glad you have returned and look forward to pics and stories about your corgi pack.

This must be such a hard time for you. The pain of losing our beloved furbabies is so very painful!  I don't blame you for taking some time off and try to deal with your loss.  Welcome back!
