We're still waiting to take Sally to the vet for further testing, but the more that I think about it the more that her symptoms fit really well with a dog that has a liver shunt.
Sally has actually been to the doctor two other times, the first for a bad case of diarrhea, and the second because of vomiting. Neither case in itself would indicate a liver shunt, but put together with the collapse and apparent seizure, and it really fits the bill.
I'm hoping that it's the kind that's on the outside of the liver, those are the easiest to fix with surgery.
In the meantime, Sally seems like she's doing really well overall. She's a little bit sleepier than usual, but she doesn't appear to be in any pain.

Thank you all for your support... we're running bile tests this week which should help determine if it's a shunt...

I had to look this one up. So sorry to hear that Sally isn't feeling well. I hope things improve and that Sally will be OK. It's hard to have a sick kiddo that can't use their words! We'll be thinking of little Sally!! Please let us know how she is doing!

I'm glad she's doing OK. It will be a relief when you get some definitive answers, and a course of action. Sounds like you're doing a great research job - which is exactly what needs to be done. I've found that you can't rely on doctors/vets to be "spot on" with their treatment. Good Luck to you.
