Just got back from seeing the King's Speech and am happy to report that corgis were the stars of the film, sort of. They got on camera quite a bit. No surprise at all since they are the dogs that can not be ignored.

I finally did get to see it and loved the movie and of coarse the corgis! I was going to go another time so my hubby could see it and then we had this blizzard:(

Went to see it tonight and really enjoyed it.  I really enjoyed when the corgis were cuddling with the girls as their dad was telling them a story.  Happy, loyal, family dogs - even if they are among royals!

Just saw "The King's Speech" tonight, and was pleasantly surprised to see that two Pembroke Welsh Corgis were included in several scenes featuring Elizabeth and Margaret as young girls.  The two looked like puppies, and were extremely well-behaved.  No movie starring Corgis will ever have more of them than "The Queen," though.  Always great to see the most wonderful breed on Earth represented.

Yep I enjoyed it too especially when the corgis were on. Actually those two actors are among my favorites.

I saw the movie yesterday. What a fabulous film! I squealed whenever I saw a corgi onscreen. Loved when the one wouldn't stop yapping near the end of the movie :)

The 2 little girls playing Elizabeth and Margaret were just darling.

Thank you for posting!  My husband has been begging me to see this and I wasn't really interested.  Now that I know there are corgi's involved I'm more willing :)

It got great reviews and I had it on my list of movies to rent when it comes out on DVD.  Now we may have to try to get to the cinema to see it instead.  :)

I have some lovely antique royalty books featuring the Royal family and their dogs.  The Royal family had many dogs and the corgis definitely wiggled their way into the female royals' favour!!

I think my husband was talking about this movie...will have to find out if it was and maybe we'll have to go see it!

Glad you posted this!

Whoops! Yeah, there hasn't been a King George the eleventh yet! I TOTALLY meant King George VI. I blame it on not enough wine ;-)
