There's no doubt I have the laziest dog in the world.
Every dog owner I talk to has the same story when it comes to mornings. Their pups usually cannot wait to get up. They run to wake up the kids when alarm goes off, they wiggle their bodies and whine anxious to get out of the crate, they rub their faces on their owners and radiate excitement.
Shiro had never had any of this happened. Not even once. Our mornings are totally different.
Usually I get up at 6, but on weekends I sleep in till 8 or 10, and I'm sure he doesn't even notice. He never whines or barks, he does not react to alarm clock either. When I open his crate, he looks at me, then turns over to give me easier access for belly rubs, stretches and closes his eyes. If I leave the room or start doing my own things, he's still be sitting there. I actually have to lure him out of the crate with a treat! Going potty is another story. As soon as I clip in the leash, he lays down and refuses to go. When he was under 10 pounds, I'd just grab him in one hand and take him out. But now he is 15, and it's a bit too heavy for me. So the only things to do is just drag him to the door, which is only about 3 feet away. It doesn't hurt him a bit, in fact I think he enjoys it. As soon as I'm outside, he gets up and goes on his own. He does his business within seconds and is really to explore the yard.
After breakfast it takes him about 20 more minutes to actually wake up completely. Then he starts to run around, tug on my pants, trying to play.
When we play tug, he rarely stays on his feet. Most of the time he just drops them and drags his little body on the floor, holding the toy. My instructor recommended this game to get him tired, but I think I get more tired than him, dragging 15 pounds from side to side :)
He does play hard outside, whether it's soccer, fetch or another dog, but after that he'll sleep for up to 2 hours.
It's like he does have energy, but only for short spans. Which I am totally OK with :)
The morning thing still sets me out. Just how long can he lay in the crate before he starts whining? Perhaps I'll never find out.

Hey, I'm not complaining at all! I just wish he was more thrilled to see me :)

I WISH Miso was as lazy as Shiro. She wakes us up, makes me walk her around for 15 minutes, and will STALL all she can so she can walk around and sniff. It leaves me feeling very angry, usually, because I am certainly not a morning person! I know I should be patient, but that's difficult when I get awakened from a nice sleep in my warm bed to walk around with a mean little puppy.

Wanna trade...? My mornings sound an awful lot like Ginny's mom's :o)

Dang, I'm jealous. Ginny's up like a bolt in the morning at 5:30. Cold nose in the face, walking on me, licking my hands.... Fine during the work week, but annoying on weekends! And she won't settle down and go back to sleep after she goes out, so I usually just lock her out of my room and try to catch some more zzzz's. Sometimes it works, and sometimes she whines and wants to come in, but she won't leave me alone if she's in the room and she's decided it's time to get up. No amount of "get on the bed. Now, lay down. Lay DOWN. Down. DOWN. Leave the cat alone. Uh-uh. No. Come here. Lay down. DOWN. Ugh" will get her to just settle down and let me rest.

While Domino does like to run out the door going 90 she doesn't get up until she hears one of us get out of bed; and sometimes that isn't even enough. When I have to be at work to open in the mornings I get up at 5 and get in the shower. I'll usually turn on the lamp in our bathroom so light doesn't shine in her kennel and she curls up in the back and stays asleep.

She's usually excited when we let her out because she's still a bit of a puppy and she's very playful. However she does nap a lot during the day, even when we're here. She doesn't have the puppy-narcolepsy thing anymore where she falls asleep mid-run, but she does nap ever two hours or so.

Dogs, Corgis especially, are so cute.

Except for some random nights that Monty wakes up for a quick pee break he too is a NOT a morning person. I wake up about 7am and will take him out for a quick morning bathroom break but then I have to take him back in and put him back in bed while I shower and make breakfast. Then I have to give him lots of belly rubs and carry him over to the couch to start the work day (I work from home!). Maybe around 10 he wants his walk and forget eating in the morning. I tried to take him on a walk this morning before it got hot and he wanted nothing to do with it and ran back inside to bed...what a weirdo.
