Well, it's been two weeks since we've picked up Zorro and I still am so excited to come home and see him! He's such a wonderful little puppy and I think we're making really good headway in him becoming settled and apart of our little family.
Progress:
I don't think he has nipped once today
Hasn't had an accident in the house today
No longer cries when you put him in his crate
Hasn't damage any of our possessions by chewing them
Rides great in the car
Has met many dogs and loves them!
Wonderful with children and loves meeting new people
Knows sit and down, working on stay and come
One of his ears is up, it's so cute!
Oopsies:
I'm not sure he is making the connection between ringing the bell and going outside
Not house trained (wasn't expecting him to be, just a fact haha)
Stubborn, if he does not want to go on a walk, he's not going
Takes a lot of coaxing to go up and down steps/curbs
Nips other dogs really hard and gets too rambunctious
Yesterday I brought Zorro to the local farmers market. He was a celebrity to say the least! Soon as we got out of the truck there was a family upon us petting him, which I completely encourage. It's funny because even the manliest guys cannot resist a corgi hahaha. I must have said, "He's a corgi" and "He's eight weeks old" a hundred times! The farmers market here is probably a total of one block and it took us an hour to walk around it twice because so many people were petting him. I was really impressed with Zorro. There were a lot of kids from two-years-old through ten-years-old and he did great with all of them! I could tell towards the end he was getting tired, but he never got sassy. He also met a basset hound which I was worried about because he can play too rough with other dogs, but was a very good boy.
Tonight we're bringing Zorro to a friend of mine's who is going to watch him through tomorrow night. I feel so guilty! Joe and I are going to The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago tomorrow so that will be an all day affair. I'm super excited, I just hope Zorro does well with somebody else for a whole day! We will see how he does, my friend also has a cat so I really hope Zorro takes well to the cat. I haven't had an opportunity to socialize him with any cats yet.

Looks like Mr. Zorro and my Tobi are just about the same age! (Tobi is 9 weeks today). Way to go on starting to get that nipping under control. It's still a challenge for Tobi, but we're working on it. I think your little man will do just fine. Enjoy the day in Chicago! :-)
I'm a little worried because he met my friend's cat on Monday and he wasn't too rambunctious with the cat, but it wouldn't stop hissing at him and then he got kind of afraid :( I hope this doesn't taint his view of all kitties!
Yeay Zorro!
It's certainly important to socialize them as much as possible. I made the mistake of not socializing Chase while he was little and now it is very difficult to take him out or have people over. He is okay as long as people don't come up to him and reach for him. I encourage people to ignore him. No talk, no touch, no eye contact. Then he will check them out and he will come to them for attention.
He has made progress recently but he still will not allow people to greet him. Biggest mistake I have ever made with him, and I am still paying for it.
Oh man, enjoy! The Shedd aquarium is amazing! definitely worth the trip!
Also, glad to hear everything is great with you and Zorro
