Zorro is officially 11 weeks old as of yesterday! I cannot believe we've had him for four weeks already! He has definitely become a part of our little family and we couldn't be happier :) He's doing well so far and haven't had too many problems. However, there are a few I would love your advice on!
-What is the cheapest most effective way to remove urine from carpet? He has an accident if we are not on top of him 24/7, which happens about once a day. For some reason he prefers…

Well, it's been two weeks since we've picked up Zorro and I still am so excited to come home and see him! He's such a wonderful little puppy and I think we're making really good headway in him becoming settled and apart of our little family.
Progress:
I don't think he has nipped once today
Hasn't had an accident in the house today
No longer cries when you put him in his crate
Hasn't damage any of our possessions by chewing them
Rides great in the…

Zorro and I have been so busy lately! I'm housesitting from this past Sunday until Thursday. The woman I'm housesitting for has two Golden Retrievers. So far nobody has been hurt, but one of the Goldens is about a year old and so rambunctious and just wont leave Zorro alone! It scares me he will hurt him on accident so I'm constantly on guard. Today we woke up, did the feedings, drove 30 minutes to get home, had lunch. After lunch Joe and I decided to bring Zorro to a local ice cream…

Well I've officially had Zorro for three days now and he is just wonderful! There are the normal puppy problems, but other than that he is such a great dog! The first night when we initially put him in his cage he didn't cry, then woke us up at 2:30am. I brought him outside to go potty and when I tried to put him back in his kennel he started crying. I let him out and he fell asleep on the floor next to me and then I put him in his kennel and he whined a little bit, then went to sleep.…

Yesterday Joe, my parents, and I drove a little over three and a half hours to pick up Zorro (and as my parents like to say their first grandson from me). When we got there we were immediately greeted by two sweet corgis. It turns out the adult in the picture I posted with the puppies a few days ago is actually his brother. He is such a nice dog! When I was trying to look at the puppies he kept trying to get under my arms so I could pet him. The father his a nice little RHT and the mother…

I finally received pictures from the breeder of the puppies! I have had my email up constantly on my computers for the past week waiting for this. I was surprised that all the puppies appear to be black-headed tris. There are two in particular that caught my interest and they are both males! I'm just waiting for Joe to get home from work to get his opinion :) Obviously the final decision won't be made until I meet the little buggers in person and get a feel for their personality. Five…

This post is a result of me lying in bed just thinking about what I have to do before we pick Zorro up, things to buy, and all the activities I want to do with him. So of course it was basically impossible to fall asleep. While I was trying to sleep I randomly said out loud to Joe, "I don't want him to be a beggar, so don't ever give him food at the table or while we're eating!" and Joe thought I was sleep talking because we hadn't been talking about the dog at all hahaha. What I'm really…

Seeing as this is my first post I will explain a little about myself first. My name is Ashley, I am 21 years old and live in WI with my boyfriend (Joe). I am currently going to school with a major in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Ecology, what am I going to do with that you ask? I dunno, hopefully something at least science related! Anyway, I have had dogs all my life. When I was younger we had Shetland Sheepdogs, then as a preteen we had German Shepherds. When I was about sixteen and…
