Sage, my grandson and I went to meet Tank this evening. He is a big boy but Sage let him know very nicely that she would be the one calling the shots and he was respected this. Tank got along well with all of us and is a very gentle BIG boy.I think he will love having several acres to run and play in plus other dogs to keep him company. His foster was impressed at how nicely Sage let him know she was taking charge and it surprised me as I really had no idea what her reaction would be to him. They walked and stayed with each other and I think they liked each other. I guess Sage will be one of the 1st to help him get adjusted as we don't want to overwhelm him. I have emailed the rescue and hopefully he will get to come home with Sage and I on Friday!!!!!

@ Beth....I even have a better idea for his exercise....it's called my husband! He used to walk Mav 2 x's a day 2 miles so I am hoping he will cut down at the fitness center and enjoy the great outdoors:)

As for Sage...she is the greatest in everyway!   Thanks!

So his mother was a mutt and his father was a mutt, and a long line of mutts before them.  :)    Very cool.

He looks like a big ol' love bug.   I think he'll do well.  He looks like he would love to go with some retired guy who will take him hiking in the woods every day!  Maybe after you've fostered him you can find him a perfect spot, and if not he can stay with your crew.

And Sage has filled out nicely.  She looks great.

Sage will enjoy having another young friend.  Calvin wants to tell Tank to watch out for that sneaky Sage.  They look like trouble....fun trouble... :)  Good luck!!

Oh I love him!!  He is adorable!!  I'm glad Sage has a new friend to play with, and Tank is one lucky dog!

Tank is a true heinz 57.  His 1st owners did do DNA and along with corgi and retriever a few other dogs in the mix are Newfoundland,Bichon,Setter. I am thinking that one of the reasons for his calmness is the Newfoundland. He really is a short, gentle and calm Tank:)

What a cutie! He looks like that "Ducking Tolling Retriever" that was recognized a few years ago by the AKC but with shorter hair.

What a nice-looking dog. Sometimes, in moments of failing virtue, I almost wish my dogs had slightly longer legs. I catch myself just in time.
He seems to have the corgi smile.

Is it a corgi/lab?? What a strange mix!  I love how corgis look like sawed-off GSDs and Tank looks like a sawed-off Lab! I bet he will feel like a GIANT in a land of bossy midget dogs.
