This past Saturday I drove up to Ranier Oregon to meet with Sue Sebring of Corgis of Narnia. She was a VERY nice woman I got to meet all of her 14 corgis, she has 12 Pems and 2 Cardis. They were all so beautiful, nice, and well taken care of. She really seems to know what she is doing, she is very organized, all the dogs have been tested against DM and Von Willabrands. She is planning on breeding one of the beautiful females in June, I cant remember her name, but she is gorgeous. She invited me to come attend the birthing which I am super excited about.

I hope I can make everything work out. My boyfriend of 5 years REALLY does not want me to get a corgi. He doesn't want a small dog because he does not think they are active enough! Corgis are VERY active! Grrrr it is so frustrating, we have been fighting a lot about me getting a corgi. I really just don't understand why it is such a big deal to him. He wants a "man dog" like a lab or retriever. I'm not sure what to do, but I know in my heart that I want a corgi more than anything and I won't be satisfied until I get one!

I'm jealous! When I was looking around for a Corgi puppy, I had spoken with Sue Sebring. I really enjoyed speaking with her over the phone, and was dying to get to see her dogs in person.

You will have to let me know your experience with her if you do wind up with one of her pups!

Show your boyfriend clips of Corgi agility trials, and them running around being crazy, etc. Make him read the breed description. Tell him you won't be happy until you get your Corgi. Say "I want a Corgi." every ten minutes or so until he wants a Corgi also-if for no other reason than to shut you up! LOL! (I did this, thogh it was unintentional, it had already been established I COULD have one, it was just a matter of actually getting one aha.)

Corgis are great breeds, and even though hubby didn't like them that much when I was looking, now that we have Ziggy, he deffinately likes him. He still isn't Corgi crazed (that turdlet!) but he does like Ziggy a lot:)

I agree with mellissa... Believe me corgis are very active!! Even with them short little legs.

Maybe bring him to the breeder next time? Or to a corgi meet up? Corgis not active enough? Wow, he seriously knows nothing about the breed lol. I say get a corgi AND a retriever :-P
