It was nice meeting you as well. Kit had a good little boxing match with Jeter, they seemed to have a lot of fun together! Hope to see you at another meet up. Kit had a really good time and was pooped the rest of the day.

Congrats on being a marathoner! (again) That is truly a great accomplishment - no matter that your finishing time is. I am on week 5 of C25k and still really enjoying it. I signed up for a 5k (Dec 13th)

I really enjoyed the story about the older couple racing in the 07 Chicago Marathon!

I am going to look for a race to sign up for when I complete to C25K so I can experience the atmosphere and the satisfaction of finishing!

Yes I am sorry thought that was Jeter-- Was late last night and very tired..lolol- anyways we will have to keep and eye out for the next meet up- or hey we could always get together and meet half way sometime and let the dogs play- What part of Chicago are you from??

Wow that is impressive that you just started last year and you already have half marathons and a marathon under your belt! That gives me some inspiration! I am not interested in being super fast - I am content to be slow. I just want to enjoy running for the physical and therapeutic benefits. If I enter races the satisfaction will come from completing them. You'll have to let us know how the marathon on the 11th goes - coming up soon!

Hey Chris thanks for the pic of Riley-- I gotta get my camera and get the pics loaded yet that I took at the picnic...Riley is his normal self today he just came in from outside-- he always looks for the squirrels and has to chase them down the fence..lolol But Riley says he would love to get together again and play with Jeter...

Do you have any idea what state Jeter came from? I was just wondering as awhile ago I was going to foster for them but was too far away and they were the ones that gave me the info for the 4 rescues I did.I was just curious if Jeter could have been from Iowa as the rescue I did had to surrender 10 more at some point.
