Ever since I met my first corgi in an obedience class with my first dog (who is no longer with us. :( miss her every day), I've wanted one, and six years later, here he is! He's a male pembroke named Dax, (presently) 15 weeks, and so far he's lived up to the energetic, stubborn, heel-nipping, lovable little corgi I thought he would be (though I think I could do without the nipping, and the stubbornness for that matter). Anyway, I'm not really sure what else to say about him, so I guess that's it!

Fluffy Cardi?

I've been looking at pictures of fluffy corgis, I just love them. I wouldn't trade Dax for anything, but I love the fluffy look! I just realized a while ago, though, that the only fluffies I've ever seen are pembrokes. And this might be a stupid question (and/or the result of me just being oblivious), but are there any fluffy cardigans? Do they exist? I want to see some pictures! :) I can't decide if the next corgi I would get would be a fluffy pem or a cardigan. I just love the cardigans… Continue

Finally went for it...

Dax is a little over 11 months old now and I finally made the decision to get him neutered. It was hard, he's such a good dog, I just think it'll really be best for him and hopefully it'll help with him marking. I brought him in this morning and they're keeping him overnight. It was weird coming home and no nub-wagging happy corgi face to greet me. :( Makes me wonder how I'd act if something ever happened to him. awww, one corgi only!!! All corgis need a corgi friend, we are going to add a cardigan soon and it will be our third, when we got Dini she and mato became good play mates and seem happier to be able to play all the time.
