So Winston's upper left white area of his eye has a red splotch area. It's almost impossible to see unless he's looking hard to the right.

I honestly don't have any extra money at this time... I can't afford to take him in to the vet on top of buying his flea and heartworm medicine right now. He doesn't seem to be scratching his eye or acting weird. It doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. I just noticed it last night.

I did a small/quick search online and everything said Pink Eye, which of course, now I'm terrified. He sleeps in the bed with me and I do not want Pink Eye. >_> I'm kind of a hypocondriac as well so now that I've been thinking about it, my eyes are both itchy.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, please let me know. I don't really know what to do.

Dogs can get pink eye and it is usually a result of allergies or even infections but I would see the vet and let him look at it. he will get you better instructions as to treatment. Better take him now and pay the smaller amount than wait and find out you should have taken him earlier.
It could just be a broken blood vessel. If it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all and you don't have money for the vet I would just keep a very close eye on it, and if it gets any worse find a way to take him in.
Pink eye causes itching, the eye is sensitive to light so they squint, they paw at the eye, it's runny and matters gunky stuff. It's very uncomfortable for them. Yours doesn't sound like pink eye at all. Watch it for a couple of days. Most likely just a broken blood vessel in his eye. If it gets worse, take him to the vet. The vet will most likely work out a payment plan with you.

Sounds kind of like a ruptured vessel or just some irritation.  Pink eye would make nearly the entire white area red and would cause lots of itching, watering and there would be a goopy discharge.

Having said that, just keep an eye on it for a couple of days.  If you notice it getting worse, especially if some of the other symptoms present themselves, then I would call your vet and make an appointment.

Hi Tori, go to walmart pharmacy are and get a bottle of plain saline solution, squirt saline into Winston's eye and wash it every 2 hours. Make sure he doesn't paw his eye or perform face diving on the floor / carpet.

Thanks everyone. It seems that today, the red is almost completely gone. I'm so happy because I was really freaking out about Pink Eye. D:

Luckily, I think it was just what you guys said - a busted blood vessel or something.
