Has any of your Corgi's ever have this? Sunny had it about three weeks ago and it was pretty scary! She would yelp in pain if we tried to touch her, she wouldn't eat but drank all the time. I took her to a vet (who was new to us since we just moved here), and they put her on IV fluids for five straight days with no other food/water allowed. Then they had us change her food form Iams to this stuff called Happy Dog (what it translates to- we are stationed in Germany currently). I'm curious to hear if anyone else has had experience with this and what they did.

Hi Kylie, one of our rescues have it. You'll need to be diligent with her food, no greasy human food period. If it is early stage, it can be controlled by diet alone.

We had a boxer with it but no corgis.Sam is absolutely right!!No human food or greasy and after 11 days of ivs our boy Ali had to go on boiled chicken with plain white for awhile, then a totally bland dog food only available thru my the vet.At that time,6 yrs ago,it was science diet.We couldnt complain. He made it to almost 13.Pretty old for that breed!!Good luck,it is scary, but it can be controlled if you get the right info.

Feel better soon Sunny. We recently had Bella tested for this but she didn't have it!
She's fine now! She had it a few weeks ago.

Glad to hear that your Sunny is better, any idea what the cause was? Thanks for serving your country. Been to Germany and other countries around the world as an Army brat.

No idea what the cause was. She had started getting into the trash around that time, so maybe it was something she got into there?? Other than that I have no earthly idea!
