What's your Corgi's Cutest Gesture(s)?
For me it's when Ah Jai (my 3-month baby boy) jumps forward and crouches down with his butt in the air, smiling all the while. :-D He does it whenever he wants to play. Such a shame I've never been able to capture it with my camera.
Oh, and the lovely head tilt that he does whenever he's confused as to what I just said.
And the way he licks his smiling lips when he sees his food bowl.
I can just go on and on...

I love how Seanna turns her head to the side and looks at me with the tip of her tongue hanging out....
or how she drools--big, long drops of spit that go from her lips to the floor--when you're eating....
I love how Jackson does his cat imitation--rubs his eyes with his little legs...soooo cute!
Or how he asks repeatedly to rub his belly really gently, until he's asleep....

I love the head tilt whenever I talk to Frank, and his BIG stretch that is always accompanied by a aaaaaahhhhhrrrrooooooo, and the fact that while I am typing this he is laying his chin on my lap and looking up at me. He is really cute about coming up and laying his chin on your neck or shoulder if you are laying down. I love that he bounces all over with a toy in his mouth when he wants me to play with him and nothing is cuter than a nubbin wagging!

Gracie is just adorable when she's decked out in her life vest and swimming to fetch her squeaky toy in the pool. Her little backside in motion with nub bobbing above the water is the cutest. I love when I come in the door and she's clearly been napping and struggles to her feet to greet me. She climbs up my leg yawning and stands there while I rub her back and belly as she gradually wakes up. She's cute pretty much all of the time...aren't we all just mad about our dogs!!

For my little Ellie, it's when she wants to cuddle. She often likes to sit on my lap, but when she actually wants to cuddle she'll climb up onto me so that she can rest her head on my shoulder. She'll stay like that for as long as I'll let her and will even let me carry her around like that. So cute!
There's also the look she gets when she's about to frap. Usually it's when Yuki is playing with her. He'll start to come near her and she gets this devilish little look on her face and then *zoom!* she takes off frapping, leaving him to try to catch up.
Her first "difficult" trick that she learned was to shake. Sometimes, when she really wants the treat, she'll just throw both of her paws into my hands and try to execute a simultaneous double-paw-shake-and-lie-down move. It's so cute! And, like most others, I'm completely helpless once that little nub starts wiggling. What really gets me, though, is when her butt tries to wag along with her nub. I love the butt wiggling!

When I get home from work, Lilly flops over on her back waiting for belly rubs, Brody flops on his side and kind of "swims" with his front paws, looks like he's doing a side stroke. When we feed them, right before we put their food down they both spin in a circle, Lilly goes clockwise and Brody goes counter clockwise - in perfect syncronization. If there's something extra in the bowl (like pineapple) we might get 2 or 3 spins out of them.

Poopdeck invents new sayings all the time, some can be a new twist on an old theme. The one he does most often is referred to as "pup horn" he yawns and then ends the yawn in a sharp YIP! but sometimes he growls, ascending the scale and yip at the end, or just makes up weird gurgly noises during the yawn portion. Most embarrassing is when he is in our little boat he hangs over the edge and barks/bites at the water splashing up in the bow wake. It's not just a bark here and there, it lasts until the boat stops. If we are in the big boat he can't see the bow wake so he barks at the water splashed up by the other boats. When he hears (or thinks he hears) other dogs he uses his protective baroo; then I start to baroo back at him--drives Gregg nuts!

I have to say, nothing beats slight head tilt with full-on ears. Always cracks me up when he is like "What now Mommy?!" With ears up twice the size of his head lol!!

I think the cutest thing Ginger does is saying "please". She will stand on her hind legs and put her front paws together. It was a random movement that she did when she was begging for a treat one night, so I said, "Say please." Now she will do that movement on command, or whenever she wants a treat. It's accompanied with a bark when she wants to go outside. It's adorable and everyone who sees it thinks I have a very well mannered dog. She's got them all fooled!

With Zoey my favorite gesture is when someone comes over and gets her playing she starts play biting(5 month old puppy) and we have taught her ""kisses, no bites" all I have to do is say "Zoey?" and she never stops playing but as soon as she hears me she automatically starts licking the person and looks up at me like "See mommy, I'm not doing anything wrong?" its so cute but I have to play bad momma to get her to stop. And Max...he just has this bright intelligent look in his eyes like he understands you and all his surroundings. I love that my boyfriend taught him when he lays down he gets his belly rubbed. Well he put two and two together and instead of laying down and then getting a reward of belly rub he just automatically rolls to his back, belly ready for rubbing. That has become his new lay down. =)

How about this one? anyone see this? when there is something of interest in sight, like a cookie, Sophie will be standing on all fours and then lift the right paw up off the floor and just stand there. Too funny. I just love seeing all the things other corgis are doing and so many of them are so common amongst our pups. Just love corgis! hey - is that a new tag line for a t-shirt?

Another thing P.D. does that makes me laugh is a mystery to where it came from. When he is laying on his side playing with a toy (a bone, my foot) he will make a strange whining noise. At the same time he puts his two front paws together and bats at the object; we call it "poodleing". Because, he looks like a poodle who "dances" on it's hind legs who has been tipped over and without the tutu. Mostly it's just being a Corgi, and naturally cute.

I love it when Lucy bounces on all fours as she anticipates me throwing the ball to play fetch. I also think it is adorable when she does a full body stretch and yawn following a nap--it is such a human thing--the need to stretch and yawn before moving!
