I'm so proud!  Yesterday, our almost 2 year old Ben went to his first horse show.  He was in a huge arena, with 3 dressage rings going on, over 120 horses there and he was perfect.  No barking--which was my main concern.  He sat and watched the competition, walked around the  stall area with me, met several other dogs on leashes, including 3 other corgis and acted like  the perfect gentleman.  He also fell asleep the instant he got back into the truck  to go home!

This was a" 3 corgi" show but I've been to shows with more than a dozen of the little guys there.

Ben goes to my barn once in a while to see the 8 horses that live there but this was his first show and he did really well.

Anyone else take their corgis to horse shows?

Both of mine were born on a horse farm and are at ease with horses.
OMG!!!  You are to be commended!   Maybe one on one - but all three of mine at once would be a public humiliation.  Nan
We also have a horse farm with 5 corgi's, and they do great around the horses. They are not allowed to chase or herd the horses and never have any problems out of them, but they do have a couple of goats we allow them to herd. I always take one or two corgi's to the horse shows, it is usually a Corgi Circus. There are always a bunch of corgi's at the horse shows and they all seems to pack up and hang out together. It's always great fun!!

I recall one show near Kansas city that had 7 corgis...we had a little meet up and stood around in a circle and all the corgis did that "I can jump up and wave my paw at the same time" deal.  It was great fun.

My boys aren't allowed to chase the horses when we visit the barn where my mare lives and they are very good about knowing what is allowed and what isn't.  I met my very first corgi at a dressage barn. His name was Shorty and, of course, he was in charge of everything.

I grew up horseback riding and always see corgis at shows. I have yet to take my little man to one but I can't wait until that day comes!
I took Cody to a horse show once.  He was great walking around near the horses (he had never seen one before) and all the other dogs that were there.  Durring the show though he sat nice and quiet on the bench next to me but whenever a horse came around the corner and went to jump the fence in front of us he would bark.  Just one loud bark just as the horse was going over.  I was pretty embarassed and kept trying to get him to be quiet but it didn't work.  I had never been to a show before either so was not sure if there was something against noise or not.
Maybe it was that surge of energy and the horse went up and over. I've noticed that my boys will bark if the horses start moving around a lot. They've never tried to herd any horses, though, and last Sunday we went to the blessing of animals at church and there were 2 llamas there that were pretty interesting to the corgis!
