I was wondering what icky nasties you've found your corgi happily snacking on. Yesterday I found eero chewing on a toad leg (no toad attached). I was not happy to pull it from his mouth -- he was indignant that he lost his tasty snack.
I forgot lizard excrement. On the rare occasion that he actually see's one (this isnt typical, he usually is blind to the lizard-world) he chases it off and naturally it poops. When he cant catch it he goes straight to the poo pile and licks at the ground. I need to start putting some of this stuff in his kibble to get him to eat more of it.
Oh thank goodness I thought it was just Ginja - she loves poop - her poop, rabbit poop and especially goose poop. We have a baseball field near our house that we take her to and sure enough everytime we go she is running the bases with a big old goose dropping hang out of her mouth ! She looks like she is smoking a cigar ! it's awful !!
Is there anyway to break the habit? I love her but i don't like Shapoopy Kisses!!!!
Our collie picked up an empty turtle shell. Ein (corgi) will happily grab rat or chinchilla poos if they fall over the edge of the trash can when I'm cleaning the cage. Well, we don't have rats anymore, but he loved their poos when we did.
Sadie likes bumble bees. Nothing more disorienting than to have your corgi smile up at you with buzzing behind their teeth. YIKES!!!
Rolo likes anything dead. Birds. Squirrels. I wasn't paying attention on a walk one time and had him in a field on flexi-lead and he was ROLLING in dead bird!!!! I guess he loved the smell. He wanted it ALLLL over him!
UGH. Needless to say it was bath time when we got home.
Funny that this was posted about, just the other day, Grover and I were on a walk and grabbed something off the pavement and when I pried open his mouth (I'm a total pro at this now, by the way! He is constantly trying to eat something he should be trying to)...when I pried open his mouth I found a half decomposed, dried up, dead frog....I had to touch it to get it out of his mouth!!! I nearly puked and we were about a mile from my house....needless to say, I scrubbed up pretty good after that walk. They are so GROSS sometimes, aren't they?!
a whole toad, a whole live toad! as i was trying to usher the toad out the door and off the porch, kirby ran up and scooped the poor thing into his mouth. although he hasn't quite caught on to drop it, he knew i wasn't happy and just locked his jaw. when i finally got his mouth open, out popped a very confused toad who was happy to hop off the porch now!
he is also getting into bunny poo all too often and loves to eat dryer sheets, i think his favorite day is now laundry day.
