Well today Zeus went off to the vet to get neutered :( I felt so bad making him go through any sort of pain :( I had my husband drop him off for his appointment and to see him so happy in the truck with dad thinking he was going to get to spend the day with dad at work broke my heart :( I sure hope he is o.k. when he wakes up from it all and not in severe pain

How sad...

My husband made me drop Noodles off because he didn't want to look like the bad guy. We both picked him up after work and Noods was happy to see us both. Zeus will be fine. Noodles was so out of it the first night and you could see it in his eyes that he didn't know what was going on. Thank goodness that was on a Friday, so we could spend the whole weekend with him. I did give Noodles the pain medicine, but I don't know if he necessarily needed it.

Hi Suzi,  I made my husband take Kirby & Kota for their operations, and yes, I felt so guilty for sending them off so unsuspecting.  When they both came home, they were fine, and they hardly noticed that anything had happened to them.  We had to crate them to keep them from running & jumping.  Sending you corgi hugs and well wishes!
Oh no Alison my husband said the same thing he is the bad guy lol. I am sure zeus will not think that. I just called and he is done and waking up now, I can go get him at 3:00 I sure hope he is happy to see me :) poor little guy I expect he will just sleep the rest of the day wondering what the heck just happened :(  the vet says they will give me pain meds for him also. I am not sure what to expect I just hope he is o.k. did Noodles heal quickly?

I kept the cone of shame on him for 7 days like I was told. He healed just fine. I was worried one time when he started licking at the stitches and I noticed that the area looked a little red, but I stopped him and he was fine after that.

I love my husband to death, but this just proves how much he doesn't want to be the "bad guy". He won't even take Noodles to his usual doctor's appointments because he always gets his shots at that time. He makes me take him. Men!

Thank you Sandy I feel horrible about him not knowing what was gonna happen to him :(

Yeah, I know....luckily, corgis don't hold grudges. :)

so true Sandy he is the sweetest puppy ever
too funny Alison "cone of shame" poor guy lol, ya My husband is good about helping me out because he knows if I have to take him I would have cried lol
It was pretty dang hard walking out of there without him. I handed over the leash and they tried (noticed I said tried) to take him back, but he put on his brakes and tried to come after me. We gave each other another kiss good-bye and I promised him I'd be back. It was hard leaving him there with him staring after me...
Awww, Zeus will feel better in no time!  Our vet suggested using a tshirt to put on Lance, and it seemed to work.  He will want to sleep when he gets home, which is good, so he can heal up.  My husband and I dropped off Lance and picked Lance up together.  Lance wasn't mad at either one of us.  :)
Thanks Natalie i am hoping he isn't mad at me either . there is hope right lol :) Oh and I enjoyed all your cute pictures of Lance and Tucker on vacation and am glad Lance is feeling better now :) hugs
Neuters are pretty easy.  Jack didn't know anything happened.  By the time the anesthesia wore off, he was his normal bouncy self.  We didn't need a cone, just told to keep the area dry.  He didn't lick it at all.  Internal stitches, external glue.  Now a spay, on the other hand, is tough.
