So last night, I was sitting up in bed while my husband was sleeping, because Seanna was laying right in my spot.  She was laying on her back with her little feet up in the air, and I just didn't have the heart to make her move.  So I sat there for an hour, and thought about all the things I love about my dogs.  I came to a realization...each one of them represents myself in some way.

Seanna:  stubborn, won't do what others tell her to do, feels bad when she does something wrong and will apologize, always on the go, likes new adventures, sticks up for herself when she has to, loves Kansas, and likes to eat.  (Especially chocolate).

Jackson:  realizes life is good; no matter how bad humans can be hasn't lost his faith in goodness in people; all he asks for is love and to snuggle. Becomes braver with each passing day.  Realizes that even if you had a bad start in life, it can turn around for the better, and there's no reason to be bitter about it.

Sage:  Doesn't really like strangers, but will warm up when she gets to know them.  Has flashbacks of the past that make her nervous a lot.  Feels really bad when she does something she knows is wrong, but just can't help herself.  Realizes too that life is good, and sometimes, no matter what, all you need to do is play.  Does better with positive reinforcement than negative.

How about you?

I see myself in Dino. He has shorter legs but evrything else isabout the same. Does not like strangers, likes to chase cars. Although I have recently stopped. I think we both like the same foods. Micheal I am sure you can disagree with something here.

Teddy is like me in that he hates his routine to be disturbed. During the holidays I had some insanely early start times that left no time for our morning walks and boy was he a grump about that. He was pouting when I left and still pouting when I got home. He still got his walks, just not before I left for work, like normal.

Noodles is like me in that having his routine disturbed completely throws him off his schedule. I've had 11 days off in a row, so I've been staying up late and sleeping in. We didn't get our normal jogs in either. I could tell he was so confused, but can I tell you how excited he was at getting up at 5 today? Yup, that meant our normal routine was back on. We are also a little hesitant at meeting overly bosterious people/dogs, but will introduce ourselves nicely and then make a determination if we should be friends with them or not. One way we are different...he can loose weight and I can't. Ugh! Yes, that is my new years resolution (wish me luck).

So glad to see that you two are back on schedule. Noodles is soo lucky to have you.

I forgot that Sage likes everyone to just get along...she's the peacemaker...

Wynn is the one who "knows it all" and I trust his judgement.  He is also a gentleman.

Bella is a "forever momma" no matter pup or adult she will treat you like her pups and correct you but love you. Always gentle, always caring.

Livvy is my "strong minded" one. She is stuborn but won 't give up whether herding a goat or figuring how to get by with something she knows is wrong. She is loving BUT on her terms.

Sage is my "wise one".  An elder for her young age of almost two. Always present always calm.

Wiley is my "happy go lucky" rescue who appears to be happy just having humans, a home and food.

Teddy is my "teddy bear" after all those years of being without someone to care in a puppy mill he has found life to be wonderful with people who care about him.Always at my feet waiting for a pet or hug.

So true. My soul-mate beagle had a lot of traits similar to mine. And now Lilliput has many of those same traits. (She is a whole lot smarter, though.) The  spaniels, on the other hand, are different from us in these ways. They are great dogs, very well loved, but it just isn't the same. So maybe opposites attract (me and the spaniels) but true love requires similar personalities.

So when my hubby calls be stubborn and hard headed...I'm like my corgis???? hehe

That is what my husband thinks or so he tells me. When I'm being stubborn, he looks at Noodles and says "Your mommy is just like you". Noods then looks at me and I laugh. I'm going to take being like Noodles in that case as a compliment.
