I have noticed this for a while now but for some reason when Clue is really active, like when he goes to the dog park, he gets super hyper and runs around but then he stops and poops. His first poop us usually solid but soft. Then after that it is really runny diarrhea several times. Eventually it's just a gross liquid.
After we are done we go home and his next poop is back to normal.
It happens every time without fail when we go to the dog park, and even sometimes when we go on a walk.
He has had all his shots and dewormed so I don't know what it is or how I can stop it.

Wow, I don't know the answer but the same thing happens to Tommy sometimes - especially on long walks in the park! No change of his diet, no indication that he is sick or anything is wrong!
Yeah, his food hasn't changed, his attitude never changes he's still energetic and happy. Even when it happens he keeps going, going!
It's so strange.
SAME HERE. I think we have the same thing going on! Hope someone has a suggestion :) I feel bad for him! It is frustrating!
Yeah! It gets frustrating because people always give me looks like my dog is sick and we shouldn't be there.
But he's just fine and wants to run and play like all the other dogs.
Same thing with Bento. After a good 15 minutes of running around the dog park, Bento will go off and do his business. His first go is solid and fine, but after that, it's all liquid-y. I wonder if it's a corgi thing.
I hope it is something common and nothing I have to worry about.
Both Franklin and my parent's lab get runny poop with a lot of excitement and exercise too. As long as it doesn't happen any other time I wouldn't worry. If he has diarrhea without exercise he may have giardia which is quite common at dogparks and regular dewormer doesn't treat it. I think its quite common in dogs to get loose stool when they get excited and very active.
My corgi does that too! I'm thinking they're trying to mark with their poop..whether it's solid or not.
I guess I'll ditto everyone here. I have noticed this too, but as nothing else seems "off" I have assumed it's normal. I am always amazed at how such a lot of poop can come out of something so small!!! I can only imagine that Lucy feels better after being...um...fully...evacuated. It is messy to pick up...
Scout is the same way. We're not alone it looks like. My theory is the exercise paired with excitement gets their systems moving which causes the ruinniness.
I'm glad to hear that it isn't just my Clue. It seems pretty common so I won't worry any more. :) Thank you everyone!
