Hi there. :] I'm looking to bring home a corgi sometime within the next year or so, and figured I'd start doing my research now. Recently I've become intrigued with Pembrokes with tails, after seeing pictures of ones from countries where tail docking is banned. I was wondering if anyone knew of any breeders here in the US that didn't dock tails as well? I know it'd probably be pretty rare, since most breeders breed for show, and tails would be non standard... But if anyone knows of any breeders that don't, please let me know. I live in Southern California, but I'm open to breeders from farther away if they're reputable and willing to ship. If fate would allow it, I would love a fluffy boy with a tail. :]

Thank you!!

Hi....did you see the post today about the stray tailed corgi found here in Missouri? I don't know if you were wanting a puppy or not, and of course you'd both need to either drive or organize shuttle service but I thought of you.

Thanks for your comment, Elizabeth. Where was this posted? I checked the rescues classified forum and couldn't find it on there... I was hoping for a puppy, and Missouri is really far for me, but I'd be interested in checking it out at least. :]

Member Chris Edson posted. You could look on his page...Tough reading the thread now it looks like he's becoming attached to the pem he found!

I checked the thread, but yeah looks like he really does want to keep that Pem. Haha. And I'm definitely fine with that. Especially since Missouri is so far away from me. I'm also trying not to rush the decision to get a dog. But thanks for the info, Elizabeth. :]

Hi, All--yes, we're definitely attached to him now. I don't think he'd do well with a major travel right now anyway. Probably because he did get lost, he's got a few separation issues going on, so shipping him would probably freak him out. If something happens that I can't keep him, I have a corgi friend in Memphis who offered to take him, also. He travels here frequently and could pick him up from us. It's very heartwarming to know that so many people would open their homes to him though, if the need arises. :D

That's great to hear, Chris. I'm glad to know that no matter what, he'll have a great home. :] Good luck with him!

Here is a girl in Roswell New Mexico.  May be kinda far.  She doesn't look pure corgi as her legs are longer, but she is adorable.  Adoption fee is only $50.

Aww she's cute! Unfortunately New Mexico is a bit far, and I can't have a girl in my house since my roommate's dog is a girl and I want the best chance of our dogs getting along.

If you can track down where these puppies come from looks like you can get your dream corgi! Look at the cute tri-fluffy with a tail in front!

Aww how cute! I actually like the one in the middle. Haha. I've seen quite a few fluffies with tails from UK or Australia... I'm sure one day my perfect puppy will be appear though!

It will:)

Thanks, Jane. :]
