If that means something's wrong with her, Ace would be dead by now. :) I feed him once a day, a huge raw meal of bones and meat and sometimes organs. He eats promptly at 20:00 every night, and poops only after 9:00 the next day. I don't think it's such a big deal if your dog doesn't poo after every meal. On the other hand, if you ever notice them having difficulty (constipation) or constant runny poos, then of course you should be concerned.
Is she young? Chase's potty schedule changed as he got older and bigger (he's 6 mos now). He used to go more often but he usually just goes morning, noon and before bed now. I think it has something to do with them growing, they are able to hold it longer or just don't have to go as much. Just like with kids, the older they get the longer they can hold it. :)
Pups can change their elimination habits as they grow and as their food demands also change. They go through stages where they need more food, and other stages where they need less. Sometimes how often and how much they poop can provide an indication of their current needs.
Thanks for all the responses! I called the vet to make sure today because I also had a lot of other questions about her eating stuff she shouldn't be, but they said that as long as she is not lethargic or having bloody/runny stool she should be fine. What a relief! I've been stressing over this for a week now.
