Hi all!

My good friend is looking to adopt a corgi, and we live in Chicago. I figured this would be the best place to start :D

He is looking for a red and white pembroke, one who is young but not a puppy (probably one around 2?) b/c he'd like one that has energy but won't chew up everything haha. It can be adoption/rescue/from a breeder, he has no preference.

I'm assuming he'd be willing to drive a bit to pick it up, so anywhere in the Chicago/Illinois area or surrounding states would be great! Please let me know if you're aware of any adoptions! :)

Try Petfinder.com

And I always wanted a red and white but my Gwen is a sable and wouldn't trade her. So maybe be open to all colours.

Happy searching!

Yup, check Petfinder and also look for the corgi club in that area.  They should have a rescue operation.  I found Max thru the club that serves my area.

I just search for the club serving the area.  Here is the link..at the top of the page where it's lists the different areas of the club you will Rescue.  Good luck!

You could also try www.adoptapet.com

As for the chewing....well, dogs chew for a variety of reasons, not only because they're teething.  So, it's not a guarantee that an older dog won't chew.

Try the Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rescue...

I would check Humane Societies also...you never know:)
