Hi Corgi friends!

I have been searching for a while now since even before getting Mikko on what food to feed him. I am just curious what you have found to be working for your own corgi.

  • How old is your corgi?
  • What did you feed him/her when she was a pup and what did you feed your corgi as he/she grew up?
  • Any food allergies?
  • How much do you feed a day/how many times a day?
  • Does the food amount change after being spayed/neutered?
  • Any brands you stay away from?

Thank you!! :)

There is a past post on this way many different ideas. Personally I feed grain free Taste of the Wild or Canidea. I like the high protein. I hAve fed both these ro pups through adults. One or both has a pup food with extra ingredients that are good for pups. Dog Food advisor is a place you can check out food details on. Personally I would not feed any food with corn or wheat. Labels can be misleading so read the ingredients and remember that they are listed in the order of amounts.

Thank you Jane! Yes dog food advisor has been super helpful,  may I ask what flavors you recommend in both brands? Mikko is only 7 months now, so far I have fed him blue buffalo, Orijen, and now trying Honest Kitchen which many corgi owners have suggested as well. Thanks for the recommendation!!

My Corgis are 6,11 and 14. I always have fed them twice a day as I think one time is way too long to go without food. I certainly think the ones you have been feeding him are fine also. Maybe what his preference is. Many times i go back to a food with salmon in.
