Ok, so even as a vet tech, im completely new to this whole corgi/furminator thing. I guess my question is how often are you supposed to furminate? And also, is it just me but it seems like the hair just keeps coming out and theres no end to it once you start brushing. Cooper doesnt mind it at all and I like the results I get, but he just seems to shed just as much even after the garbage bag worth of hair I just combed out of him. So I dunno, I just need some furminator 101.

thanks guys!

i do neeka everyweek and the cats/bigger dogs every couple days and my pom once every three weeks. it totally depends on how much they shed. i also use it to get burs out since they are always covered!!
We use maybe just once or month or when the brush is pulling a lot of hair. If the normal brush isn't pulling a lot of hair, I see little reason to use Furminator
I furminate maybe once every other week, as needed.
I use it once a week on Gibson, but I try not to go over the same area twice so not to irritate his skin or overstrip his hair. I then finish up with a standard pin/bristle brush to pick up loose fur and to get the topcoat (I also use that brush throughout the week as needed)
I use the Furminator on my dog Spice. Her heavy shedding time in March through May and I need to furminate her almost daily. During the rest of the year I do it 2 to 3 time a week. What a wonderful invention!
what food do you feed? The quality of the food you feed greatly affects how much he sheds!
