we tried it, he hated it...looking to sell it.

you know how corgis bark at hair dryers and vacuums? mine does that with the pedi paws, total nightmare, you should be able to rent them to see if they are for you or not.

Thank you.That's exactally what I'm afaid of. I guess It can go either way It just depends on the dog. I'm glad you can clip your dogs nails though. Zoey use to be fine with me clipping her nails until the last time for some reason she was scared and difficult.My husband had to help hold her down and I don't want to have to do that again. Thank god we don't have to go through this but about every 6 weeks or so. I feel like i have to try something else by either buying Pedi Paws or maybe my cheap clippers have gotten dull? I was at a flea market over the holiday weekend and they were selling Pedi Paws for only $10.00 so I might go back this weekend.That's alot better than the original $20.00 sticker price.

I use this on Shippo. He LETS me clip his nails, but he doesn't like it at all, and I can tell he's under a lot of stress while I'm clipping, so I tried out the Pedi Paws, and he just stands there on the table like it's nothin'! I don't think I'll EVER go back to traditional clippers!

It does of course require that you acclimate them to it, as it makes mechanical noises and some dogs won't like that to begin with...

Thanks.I think I'm going to try it. Zoey never seemed to mind me clipping her nails until the last time I did it. She was so scaded that she was shaking and I had to have my husband help hold her and I don't want put her throught that again. I think I will buy a bag of treats to help her hopefully get use to it.

We use clippers and the Pedi Paws on Penelope and she does much better with the Pedi Paws.

We just bought Pedi Paws a week or so ago and are trying to introduce it to Talula-- but even when it's introduced a few times per day she barks and growls at it everytime (just like the mop and vacuum.) We tried using the clippers, but I accidentally got the quick (both times) so now she won't let me near her feet. We're thinking a trip to the groomer if this persists. Good luck with the Pedi Paws.

I'm lucky that Zoey has clear nails but I'm still afraid everytime I try to clip her nails tha I'm going to hurt her.I wonder if you could use a human nail file?metal or sandpaper. Maybe just to try.Or maybe it would help to get Talula use to the Pedi Paws with treats. Zoey's first love is her food.Then us.Thanks for your comment &good luck.

I haven't tried it, but have a tip my breeder showed me on manually clipping a corgi's nails.

Sit down on the floor in front of a real sunny door or window. Situate corgi between you and sunshine. Flip corgi onto back Head to the Left. Gently but firmly place your left knee on Corgi chest between head and paws. This way he/she can't really see what you're doing, and you just need to press a bit. If really a wiggler, use right knee to hold down flailing back legs. I do it on a sunny bright day to help see where the "quick" is to avoid it. I also 1 initial cut straight across and multiple cuts to round nail around the quick.

Until I tried this it would take over an hour of struggling w/ my old girl Boxcar. Started this w/Porter as a puppy and while it's not his favorite thing, he complies pretty readily and I'm done in less than 5 minutes. Our only problem is his cat brothers like to watch and touch him "when he's down" and he doesn't like that. :)

Thanks, that is excellent advice.I wouldn't have to force my husband to help hold her and at that it still was difficult.Haha,thats funny about the cats though. I guess they must take the opportunities when they come.Thank you for your comment.

I've been curious about this product as well but I've heard that it doesn't work as well as the Peticure. Has anyone tried both to make a comparison?

Thanks for your comment.I have been hearing some good things about Pedi Paws which is most encouraging but I also have heard alot of good feedback about a product called Demel so it's really hard for me to decide which one actually is best.They must both pretty good products.This might sound alittle silly but maybe if it's possible if you have a friend or family member who has either one that you could borrow it for a few days to see for yourself how well it works and how your dog takes to it before buying it.Good luck.
