UGH My Corgi is eating her own poop

YUCK! Penny has decided to eat her own poop when she is done going potty and she completely ignores me if I yell for her to stop/leave it! No more puppy kisses for me!

Your vet should have a product called For-Bid that you sprinkle on her food for several days that will help-it makes it taste like shi....-oh wait, that's the problem you're having-well, anyway, they don't like the taste

Pineapple chunks seem to work for Lilly (read about it on this site and figured I'd give it a try).

Gus did that for a while. He eventually grew out of it. But like Becky said pineapple chunks seem to help.

They learn it from watching their moms keep the nest box clean. Yuck indeed! Try to hustle her away from it before she has a chance to turn around and discover it, and as has been mentioned there are things you can add to her food to make it less.... uh.... tasty. Blch!

Thanks...she actually loves pineapple...we gave her a core the other day and she chewed on it for hours...I'll have to try putting some in with her food...she goes to the vet next week for boosters so I'll ask about the for-bid product.

My Mina does it every so often -- more in the morning when she first goes out. Distracting her with a little bit of a treat seems to work -- draw her away from it and then hurry over to clean it up while she inhales her tidbit. Never heard of the pineapple trick. I'll have to give it a try.
