So we picked our puppy up at the shelter about 2 weeks ago. There, they told us he was a lab/golden retriever mix. After getting him home and watching him, we realized he is part Corgi. He has the pointed ears, the longer and round body, and he is about 20 pounds at 5 months old. His legs do look longer than a pure bred Corgi's but he has the markings of one, for sure (whiter fur down his front and belly, with golden on his back).

Anyway---we absolutely love him! I am just hoping to get in contact with other owners of Corgi mixes. I would like to compare him to other breeds and hopefully get an idea about what he is and what he'll be like.

He's a beautiful boy! <3 I'm having a hard time seeing what part of him is corgi, though. What a strange mix, too. A herding dog with two retrievers... chase the sheep, then drag them back. lol
Oh what a handsome young lad! Is there a group for corgis mixes here? Otherwise I would start one! Congrats on your new addition! Sometimes identifying what breeds mixes are is almost impossible! Good Luck!
I need to take more pictures of him running around. Those you can't see his round little body :D
But yes we should start a Mix group! I just joined so am not quite sure what I'm doing yet :P
He looks great! And very healthy! Love the cute face. It looks like it was a Golden Retriever or a Lab in the mix definitely. He will bring tons of fun to your life, enjoy!!!
oh yes! he already has! I can't believe how quickly he is learning and really starting to get to know his home! we love him so much :)
