I have a print out on Corgis and it says you can use a cottonball and Listerine to clean their ears...has anyone ever heard of this? They'd smell good!
Mmm, they would smell good! I would imagine you could since it's so high in alcohol. I personally don't like to use alcohol in the ear since it's so drying but my vet has said alcohol cleaners won't hurt them as long as you use a cotton ball (don't pour into the ears) and they don't have a current ear infection. Let me know what Minty Corgi Ears are like!
I like using cleansers that you can drip into the ear so it gets into the canal and help break up the ear wax that you can not get too and causes all the ear issues and infections. They are mild and non stinging if there is some irritation in the ear. You need to rub base of the ear to allow liquid into the deep ear and let it work its magic and then wipe clean with towel or cotton ball but never insert Q tips. If there is a foul odor, this is a good indication that there is an infection and the vet has special drops that really clears this up quickly.
You need Dylan, our seven month old corgi, he loves cleaning ears. My friend brings her six year old corgi to visit and Dylan drives him nuts cleaning his ears. He also cleans his moms ears, it is quite funny...
So does Kiara and Rhiannon but have heard that one person whose dogs would do this caused infections in the others dogs ears and the vet recommended not allowing this. I have not run into an issue and have found my dogs ears to be extremely well maintained. They also lick along the others eyes as well. They love it and find it so relaxing. They will line up and plop down infront of Rhiannon like "Its my turn"!!
