So, we just brought home a wonderful puppy and introduced him to our other two boys, ages 4 and 2. The puppy is just 11 weeks old. We arrived home and my husband put the puppy on a leash (we think it was the first time the puppy was ever on a leash) and walked down the hill from our house. I got the older 2 boys, on leashes, met up with them and we went for a walk for about 10 minutes.

The older dogs were not allowed to visit or sniff or anything and after a minute or so, they just walked along with me as they usually do, one on each side. After a few moments, my husband picked up the puppy and carrying him, we walked a few minutes more.

We got the the gate of our property, entered and let all 3 dogs loose but with leashes dragging. After a few more minutes, we took off the leashes and went for another walk along the fence line. We spent nearly 30 minutes walking around before we came into the house. The puppy is either in a big play pen or in his crate when he's in the house.

So, 3 days later, the puppy is very playful with the #2 dog, #1 dog just ignores him and we're on the housebreaking journey and doing well.

I've posted photos of the new guy on our page. We named him Benjamin franklin, Bennie. He's a doll and the the most vocal Corgi I've ever met. Heaven help us!

Congrats!
Congrats on the new addition, and sounds like the intro went swimmingly. :-) He's a cutie. A red-headed tri, yes?
Yes, he has red on his ears already and I'm sure he'll develop more red on his head and sides. Great little face, I'm hoping that marking on his nose doesn't change too much. It's pretty cool that he has a black stripe down his muzzle, wihte on one side and red on the other. He has white whiskers on one side and black on the other, too. I'm very proud of my older boys for being such gentlemen about it all. One of the cats has already smacked the puppy pretty hard --no claws, though-- but then, she's in charge of the entire place!

Man, there's really nothing like a puppy, is there?
I'll have to scan in some puppy pictures of Maddie that the breeder sent me (we did not get her til she was almost 5 years old). Her adult pics are on my page, but you should see all the black on her head when she was a puppy!

I agree, nothing like a puppy. :-) And the cats are always in charge. We just brought home a 4 or 5 month old kitten and the dogs already know she's the boss, from the second she was carried in the door.

P.S. Both of my Corgis have black whiskers on one side and white on the other, and I think it's very cool. :-)
Just a personal note... I live in Texas but graduated from Marywood College in Scranton ...omigosh, 40 years ago!
