Walks

Quin is 51/2 months old. How far is too far for walks at this age? We were walking 1 mile twice a day most days. But today we went 11/2 miles and she slept all day. We didnt walk in the evening today just the morning. She was up earlier this evening giving the cat hell so I know she is ok but maybe I am being too ambitious. what are your thoughts? How far do you walk with your dog?

Usually owner should go by 5 minutes per month of life per day. Quin should only get about 25 minutes of walk per day. It is recommended to prevent damage to his bone growth and joints. I hope this helps.

My obedience instructor likes to say, don't walk them further than you want to carry them back, lol! (I know that's not helpful but it's funny :)

And i did have to carry her today (a little ways not too far) after she got a cholla stuck in her and me ouch!!! I had to carry her to the house so I could pull it out.
