measuring food and using Smartpak

After having a weight problem with one dog too heavy and the other too slim, I switched to using the smarkpak adult chicken and brown rice formula. I find the price and the monthly delivery is great since I don't run out or have to go buy it.

Both dogs are now at perfect weights for their frames and I just have to open the packet that has the dog's name on it...they like the food a lot, too. Well, they like everything....

I've been using this company for supplements for my horse for several years and really like thier canine products. They do carry Wellness and some other brands which they will deliver in the daily, measured packet. I

It's a really easy system. Anyone else use it?

I recieved free samples from them, they are located 50 miles from my house, so delivery was REALLY fast. But I adjust the food levels based on activity of the week and check ups with Miranda because of her size. I admit it is tempting, but the packaging is annoying if you are short on room. For me it is easy just having a measuring cup in 2 tuperwear containers, all labeled for each dog. But if I owned more dogs or a larger apartment I would use them.

ps. The people on the phone are really nice and they talk you thru it. They also sell accessories, dog clothes, etc. The only issue was they sent a coat WAY too big for the measurements I sent but it became a Christmas Present for someone else. They are great with food, not so great with sizing up dog breeds. Do not order clothes with the statement "well she's a corgi."

They have been really great with my horse, too, and the folks I've talked to are very knowledgeable about supplements. I think if I start my corgis on any joint supplements, I'd talk to Smartpak about it.

It is sort of daunting to get a full monhts supply of daily packets (2 per day in our case) but the company also sends along a 2 drawer plastic container to store them that works really well. And I know I wont' run out and since I'm pretty forgetful about shoppinglists, etc. this really works for me.

I think it's a great company.
