We do something similar, but I don't add any honey or sugar. I get a container of plain yogurt, mash in a very ripe banana, put in a couple tablespoons of peanut butter, and freeze it up in ice cube trays. Great for when my dogs come in panting from a summer walk!

They love them, and now go and hang out by the freezer when we come in from our evening stroll.
I don't plan on using honey, molasses is good for pups, so that is what I will try.
This does sound delicious. Thanks for the recipe, I'm sure Alwyn will be licking his chops and begging for more after I get to the store. Will give you an update!
An update would be nice :) Thank you. I need to get to the store, too.
Sounds good! I am gonna try it. Romeo LOVES Frosty Paws!
Update #1: After all the ingredients were mixed together I had Alwyn try a taste test. He seemed to have no problem licking the spoon clean and he's a very picky eater! =) Can't wait to make them into ice cubes and see how they go over then. Thank you!
We have everything but the bananas! I suppose that we could sub another fruit...I like this because we can eat it and so can the "boys" I will have to monitor how much Sonny gets, think he is gaining weight on his "diet" ! I think I might try Beth's method of just yogurt, peanut butter and banana - better for Sonny.
Rocky and Rosie love this!! I also make it without the honey or sugar. I saved a bunch of those Jello pudding cups and fill those about half full and freeze them. Then I just toss them in a gallon zipper bag, after they are frozen, Warm them a bit in your hands, put in a bowl and the dogs are happy!!! They try to carry them off to the carpet, so we watch them!!
I am definitely going to try this recipe. It sounds like something Rosie would love! Thank you for sharing it with us! =)
Has a group been started for recipes like this? I think we need a group just for frosty treats :)
Good idea!

Oh shoot! Mike's in town today and I forgot to tell him to but bananas, I don't think a substitute of melon will be good - or blueberries either! The boys eat both, but I like the idea of bananas in this recipe.
Not that I know of, go for it :)
