Oh my, what a day....... My sweet sweet Bentley boy has blood in his urine. He has accidents every once in the while in the house but today all he was doinng was peeing & there was blood in it & there were other spots were there were just drops of urine & blood. He seems to being feeling fine, acting like his normal self. I had to leave the house for a bit & when I came home he was locked in a room so I could see how much blood & urine he was still having & no peeing or blood anywhere. Weird because earlier every time I cleaned up one mess he was going again & then this afternoon when I come home nothing...... I had some left over antibotics for him so I started giving him some until I can get him to the vet on Wednesday. What do you guys think it could be??????? It just seems like he would be still going everywere like early but he is not.

UTI or Stones are the most common causes.
Ya Sam, I read up on it via the internet, my worry is that he is about 8 yrs old & was just nuetered about 6 months ago, I hope it not his prostate.
Hi Christen, if it is indeed UTI, it'll clear up with your antibiotics in a few days. Get well soon Bentley!
Sorry, I don't have any ideas. But just wanted to send good wishes to Bentley. It's so hard when our "kids" are sick. Get better real quick Bentley. You've got a picnic to go to!!! : )
YES HE DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Bentley has stoped peeing blood all over the house. Actually he stopped that afternon......weird......I am wondering if it was at all possible that he got into something. I had in locked in the bathroom the day before because he & my foster corgi Junebug dont get along & I was going to be gone for the morning and he went through the trash in the bathroom so I am just wondering it have been something he got a hold off....I had about 6 days (am & pm) of antibotics so he is on day 3 of them so hopefully thats fixes whatever happened.
Are you still going to have your vet take a look at him? Might be best.
I am going to do my best, its crazy at work this week & my foster corgi Junebug needs to get to a different vet this week for blood work so you can be placed hopefully soon!!!!!!!!!!!!! My crazy life , but I love it.
definately UTI, probably shouldn't give the antibiotics without the vets ok. Some antibiotics are more for skin type issues others for urine and it's not always the same microbe causing the UTI. I wouldn't contiue with antibiotics unless the vet ok's it because that could do more harm than good. P.S. you should NEVER have left over antibiotics. ALWAYS give the full course as prescribed by your vet or you risk creating a resistent strain of bacteria that becomes almost impossible to kill.
Oh I know your not suppose to have antibotics left over. I didnt, i was advised by the vet to stop giving these antibiotics to him thats why I had them left over.....
feel better soon Bentley!!!!
