Some Evil Genius could actually make this into a fun sport, maybe for fundraising.

The Owner Agility event will showcase overall speed, grace, and reaction time in several skills, including:

Feeding (starts from seated position in easy chair; owner must fill and present food bowls);

Tennis ball throwing;

Walk initiation (starts from seated position in easy chair; owner must dress for outdoors, assemble kit, collar, leash, and get out the door with corgi);

Petting;

"Come!" (starts from seated position in easy chair; owner must rise and answer summoning bark);

Of course, the most demanding event will be -- vacuuming with corgi.

this is weird, i am trying to read this but as soon as i try to it goes blank:(

happened to me too, I clicked on view discussions and could read it, but all the comments went to a different discussion

Me too. I sent Sam a note telling him about the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. :)

Done! Thanks Gail :)

I copied it out of a different discussion; outsmarted myself.  Sorry.

Sit/Stay....owner must sit and stay for a minimum of 30 seconds ignoring the pleading " I am starving" corgis eyes or enthusiastic nub wagging.

Sounds a lot like every day at my house! Maybe if I step up the speed a little it can be a weight loss program too....

hahaha, I misread the last one, thought it said "vacuuming OF corgi"  ;-)

Love the constant reappearance of the feeding event.

As you know -- Bertie has already signed me up for the Toy Retrieval event, toys hidden under couches, blankets and tucked into corners, owner must begin retrieval on first bark, scored on number of barks until all toys delivered....

Having almost dropped a roast chicken on the floor just now -- how about Owner Obstacle Course?  Owner must navigate between, around and over wiggly bunny butts and various toy shreds while cooking a 5-course meal -- points off for snacks tossed to the four-legged obstacles....

What about some events in bed or sofa?  Owner asleep, must not get scared when 23+ pounds of fur jump suddenly on owner.  Or how much space is allowed to the bed hogger, I mean, corgi, without owner falling off bed? Moving off the bed or couch without waking up the corgi?

Bed hog??  Who need any room for your feet? The corgi must have a good nights sleep!  If early morning potty is needed the the pillow belongs to the Corgi!!  Brown eyes staring at owner to wake up!! (I wouldn't have it any other way!!)

"Brown eyes staring at owner to wake up!!"  You mean like this?

Curious coincidence.  I blogged about this today.  LOL
