Have taken my 13 month old Cardigan Tillie too the dog park several times(4mile drive).
Tillie does not seem too like riding in the car. This morning my sister & her 2  Cardigans joined Tillie & I at the park. They play together real well. Tillie runs as hard as she can for 10 minutes at a time until I make her stop & rest. Tillie is always fed & walked 1-1/2 hours before we go to the park. She will always vomit on our cool down walks. Today she vomited on the ride to the park, but seemed too feel fine when we got there. She played as usual & vomited as usual on the cool down walk.
Has anybody else had this happen?
Has anybody got any advice?

Thank you,
Bruce

Well, sometimes dogs get so excited that the purge to calm down. It could be anxiety. Dogs get phobia just like people, and she could just really freak herself out about the car. Especially if she vomited in the car. If she seems fine after she throws up I wouldn't think much of it. (Are the cool down walks on the way to the car?)

Another thing, does Tillie get raw bones, or grasses? They are VERY good for their digestive systems...

I hope this helped and Tillie is fine :)

carly has vomited twice, in the car and after a car ride...i agree with the other comment it may be anxiety ..i also thought she might be a little car sick but its hasnt happened any more.
Thanks, for your reply. Tillie had her annual yesterday, but it has not happened in several  weeks now and to be quite honest the dog park incidents became an afterthought. While getting her vaccinations I told the vet that I did not take her to the dog park any more because she gets car sick. That raised no eye brow from the vet.We go back for her Leptospira Vaccination in three weeks and I will be more specific.Your reply jogged my memory.
No, Just after a car ride, followed with lots of running.

Vomited as usual was a bad choice of phrases.Three trips to the dog park=3 incidents of vomiting.

She does fine if we are around our home. She will play so hard, sometimes I intervene & make her stop.

We will cool off & take a short walk too relieve herself.

Not uncommon for puppies to throw up soon after eating. Shiro used to puke in mornings after breakfast following a short walk. Try to feed your puppy less food and earlier, or AFTER the dog park.

Thanks for all the input

She is a very healthy & happy companion.

It has been over a month since my original post & it has not happened since.

Thanks for all the replies
